20 Oct – 9 Nov 2026Dating scan + combined screening CRL 45–84 mm = 11+2 to 14+1. Hard cut-off 9 Nov. Check the offered date is on/after 20 Oct. Text the new EDD same-day.
10 Nov – 20 Dec 2026Quadruple test (fallback only) If the combined window is missed.

24 – 30 Jan 2027Qualifying week Fixes SMP entitlement. Leave notice due by the end of it.

9 May 2027Due date Sunday. Confirm against the scan EDD.
28 May 2027Hannah's contract ends 19 days after the due date. SMP survives it; enhanced pay would not. Claim accrued leave in lieu.
~23 Jan 2028SMP exhausted Income drops −£635/wk. Tier 2 buffer covers three months past this.
